About Kamlabai Educational & Charitable Trust was established in 1998 at Vikhroli, Mumbai by the worthy hands of late Shri Girdharilalji Agrawal, with the intention to provide education to the deprived masses of the society.
To accomplish this mission, KECT stared "Agrasen Hindi Vidyalaya" in the slum area known as Parksite, Vikhroli in Mumbai. Till date, 3 Schools and 3 Jr.Colleges have been started by KECT, all are located in economically backward areas where education is the need of the day, but, unaffordable to the majority of the population. KECT started providing education with nominal fees.
Working on the need for adult education, KECT started adult education program as "Dadasaheb Govindram Literacy Centre" and started providing free education to illiterate adults to educate and empower them.
In order to provide professional education, KECT established "Agrawal Institute of Management & Technology(AIMT)" affiliated to "Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth", "Bharti Vidyapeeth" and "Yashwantrao Maharashtra Open University", by virtue of which, it enables the deprived class to be trained professionally up to required industry standards. AIMT is well reputed for professional MBA education with proven track record of placement.
To comply with its social commitments, KECT organizes various events viz. Health checkup camp, Eye checkup camps, Donation for earthquake affected people etc.
KECT has started Mumbai Dabbawala Education Centre to provide free Computer training and English speaking courses to Dabbawalas, their children and other deprived people.
KECT is yet to accomplish its mission. There are various projects in the pipeline which require strong financial support. We solicit your financial and advisory support to accomplish the dream of KECT
